Bitterkomix 17

Conrad Botes and Anton Kannemeyer

Bitterkomix 17

Bitterkomix 17, the latest satirical annual from co-editors Conrad Botes (Konradski) and Anton Kannemeyer (Joe Dog), is dedicated to Tienie du Plessis (1949-2015), publisher (first with Taurus then Hond), anarchist, graphic designer and writer. He was responsible for publishing the first comic drawn by Kannemeyer and Botes, Case no 308, in STET magazine, and an interview with him about STET is republished here, alongside tributes by Breyten Breytenbach and John Miles. Bitterkomix 17 also presents new work by Gerhard Human; the first part of Joe Daly's new comic, Rust River City; an excerpt from Karlien de Villiers' My ma was 'n mooi vrou; a new slice of autobiography from Joe Dog and more.
