The Big Bad Bitterkomix Handbook

Conrad Botes and Anton Kannemeyer

The Big Bad Bitterkomix Handbook

Over the last 10 years or so, Bitterkomix has been (as one critic remarks) "consistently challenging and outrageous, undeniably brilliant, and impossible to ignore". The Big Bad Bitterkomix Handbook brings together the full range of Kannemeyer and Botes' work from the early 1990s until now, including published covers, postcards, posters and drawings from personal sketchbooks. Interspersed with these images are essays by, among others, Antjie Krog, Andy Mason, Ryk Hattingh and Gregory Kerr. The book, designed by Garth Walker of Orange Juice Design, is an essential chronicle and visual cornucopia of the work of the Bitterkomix artists.
