Paries Pictus is Robin Rhode's first solo exhibition in South Africa in over a decade, occupying Stevenson's entire Cape Town gallery. The catalogue documents the exhibition, which includes wall drawings with the participation of children from Lalela Project, nine photographic series and the digital animation A Day in May. In an accompanying interview conducted by James Sey, Rhode discusses his return to exhibiting in the country of his birth, the significance of wall paintings in his oeuvre, and the selection of particuar works based on their relevance to South Africa.
