In early 2006, Samson Mudzunga held a solo exhibition at the Jack Shainman Gallery in New York, and staged performances in New York and at the opening of the group exhibition Personal Affects
at The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu. This catalogue showcases his large-scale drums produced in 2004-2006, and features an essay by Michael Stevenson which discusses the central theme of transgression in his performances and sculptural works.
