Rahima Gambo was born in 1986 in London, and lives between London and Abuja. A visual artist and documentarian with roots in photojournalism, she has recently participated in exhibitions at the Schrin Kunsthalle, Frankfurt (2022); Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna; Kadist, Paris (2021); MACAAL, Morocco (2020); and the 11th and 12th editions of Les Rencontres de Bamako, the biennial of African photography, Mali (2019; 2017). In 2020 she received FOAM Talent and Contemporary African Photography awards. In 2019 she founded A Walk Space, a studio and mobile art space that explores the complex intersections of the ‘moving’ image.
